Position Summary:

The Accountant maintains financial records and reports, performs account reconciliations, assists with budget and close processes, conducts internal audits, and maintains accounts payable documentation. The Account will assist the Controller and Assistant Controller as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day general ledger and accounting functions.
  • Assist with month end closing processes, maintain the general ledger, generate monthly journal entries. The process must be completed timely and at a high level of accuracy and complying with GAAP requirements.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and research any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile and confirm inter-company transaction balances on a monthly basis and post adjustments as necessary.
  • Review and approve positive pay electronic file transmissions.
  • Review and post payroll runs and related tax filings
  • Manage fixed assets including capitalizations, disposals, monthly depreciation, and researching appropriate accounting treatment of complex transactions related to fixed assets.
  • Prepare and file taxes and external reporting including but not limited to L&I reporting, B&O taxes, 1099 reporting, property taxes, and census reports.
  • Adhere to all SOX requirements to ensure full SOX compliance.
  • Ensure proper internal SOX testing is completed accurately and timely.
  • Provide audit support through the generation of timely, accurate schedules and documents.
  • Provide support to Finance clerical staff and assist in resolving issues that arise in these areas with minimal supervision
  • Create and maintain adequate and appropriate procedural documentation.
  • Assist with government, and financial statement audits
  • Ad hoc projects including analysis and interpretation of data, policy and procedure creation and modification, variance and trend analysis, and general department innovation

Required Skills:

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication, collaboration, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively analyze problems and identify solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize a heavy work schedule.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience with ERP Systems preferred

Level of Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in finance or accounting.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $70000.00 to $85000.00 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
