Job Summary:

Avfuel Corporation provides the global aviation industry fuel and services through its network of branded dealers and international locations. 

Avfuel is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• High level of internal and external customer service to amplify Avfuel’s exceptional customer relationships 
• Cash application and batch reconciliation, with strong emphasis on problem solving
• Communicating with clients and customers, or specific relationships, to request and arrange payments and address billing concerns
• Airline invoicing and customer pricing
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving issues through to resolution, emphasis on strong accounting skills
• Recording and tracking payments in company and customer specific databases
• Updating client accounts and notating with payment or contact information
• Assisting customers with billing inquiries, including dispute resolution and escalation
• Reconciliation of customer accounts, emphasis on strong organizational skills and follow through
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Data entry speed combined with accuracy
• 10-key use preferred
• Excellent customer service skills especially over the telephone
• Usage and/or familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and ability to learn and adapt to new systems.  Familiarity with accounting software systems is a plus
• Adjust well to structured procedures and deadlines 
• Ability to function with others in organization toward a common goal
• Demonstrated high level of organization and attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to deal with constantly changing priorities, stress, and multi-tasking
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree in Business/Accounting or equivalent experience, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2-5 years of exceptional customer service experience (verbal, in-person and in writing)
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Office; Word and Excel 
• Organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Ability to handle changing priorities and multi-tasking

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.  
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
