What You Will Do:
- Maintain paper & computer based Aircraft Logs/Records/Customer Reporting Systems in accordance with the appropriate orders/instructions/procedures.
- Receive and safeguard aircraft logs on induction of aircraft. Review aircraft logs for completeness, accuracy and initiate required action(s) on such items as time expired equipment, modifications, special inspections and other instructions.
- Collect data, produce, complete and maintain all necessary reports and documentation.
- Assist company personnel and customer representative with areas related to aircraft logs.
- Assist in the preparation of procedures and directives related to the functions of the Log Control Section.
- Initiate documentation and co-ordinate with appropriate outside agencies for the processing of oil samples, hydraulic samples, etc.
- Liaise with Customer Log Control Section on matters related to aircraft logs/records.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of aircraft logs for return to customer.
- Generate and release IMP message responses related to log control functions as directed.
- Assist and provide OJT to other members of the Aircraft Log Controller classification.
- Attend upgrading training for trade or personal development.
- Carry out filing, record keeping and detailed log entries.
- Perform other tasks as required within the classification
What You Will Bring:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency at a minimum.
- Post secondary education pertaining to the aerospace industry is an asset.
- Military or civilian experience with aircraft technical records and aircraft maitenance is an asset.
- Computer literacy and a proficiency in the use of MS Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook is a must.
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar enterprise system is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, the Automated Data for Aircraft Maintenance (ADAM) system is highly desirable.
- A strong willingness and the capability to learn new computer programs, follow procedures and become familiar with technical terms and references.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and duties daily, corresponding with operational needs.
- The capability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working well under pressure while maintaining precision when faced with deadlines.
- Strong organizational, time management and critical thinking skills.
- A self-directed work ethic where high attention to detail is the minimum standard.
- Outstanding and professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
- A collaborative and cooperative attitude and a strong desire to see your program succeed.
- An acute awareness of how maintenance requirements impact customers and aircraft airworthiness.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain airport security clearance (RAIC).
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement, Learn & 8S activities in your area.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.
