Job Description:
This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-level finance/accounting leader to become the Controller in Springdale, AR. The Springdale Controller position reports to and is a strategic business partner to the Location Manager at the Springdale facility. The position reports directly to the Location Manager, with a dotted line to the Segment Controller and is primarily responsible for all functional accounting and control activities for Springdale. The Controller will manage business unit forecasting, planning, reporting, consolidation and analysis functions, and develop and manage processes to ensure compliance with ASAT and other internal audit requirements and will provide leadership to the Financial organization.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the Springdale Lead Team and act as a business partner to the team as they develop and implement business strategy
- Act as a catalyst for change and help drive business performance improvement
- Manage planning, reporting, consolidation and analysis functions and develop and manage processes to ensure compliance with ASAT and other internal audit requirements, as well as US GAAP and Arconic reporting requirements
- Understands, reviews, and communicates key drivers for location success
- Drive financial engagement to operations
- Create and monitor internal controls that allow operations to meet the financial plan
- Ensure strict adherence to Arconic code of conduct and corporate policy
- Manage location performance pay plan
- Lead initiatives to close gaps from current performance to benchspan level
- Develop strong internal cost control systems to ensure that plans are met
- Ensure compliance with all audit requirements
- Develop systems to ensure maximum profit generation from all areas of the business
- Create an environment where problems are solved to the root cause
- Create an environment where systems are used to accurately plan and deliver according to expectations
- Continuously drive for process improvements
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned/requested
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing or supervising others in a direct reporting relationship
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Master of Business Administration from an accredited institution or Certified Public Accountant
- 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing accounting role
