Arconic is currently in search of Management Accountant to join our Kitts Green Team based in Birmingham.

Job Summary:
Key objectives
To provide support relative to costing and inventory calculations. To assist and complete general accounting functions, operational improvements and other accounting projects.
In this role, you will:
- Fixed Assets (Capitalizations, Tagging, verification)
- Carry out Stores cycle counts on a monthly basis
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare the Manufacturing Dashboard and Senior Management Pack
- Complete ASATS to ensure SOX compliance.
- Assist in external audits
- Process ad hoc payments and non-PO invoices.
- Support Senior Management Accountant with any ad-hoc queries
- Ensure correct processing of metal invoices to receipts, ensuring all delivery notes are received and filed for audits.
- Ensuring all monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed, issues resolved in timely manner by 15th of each month.
- Carry out basic costing and inventory calculations.
- Ensuring that several required reports are prepared for annual PSA meeting, PSA return submitted to HMRC, and payment made before due date to HMRC
- Review policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date and relevant.
- Responsible for compiling and submitting monthly AMGB VAT returns digitally to HMRC with supporting documentation available for audits.
- Ensuring that intercompany charges received are processed by IICS team (supplying them with missing codes)
- Updating DAN note register, ensuring that all scrap and steel sales are invoiced with correct weights & prices
- Month end activities (accruals & prepayments)

You have: (required)
- A minimum 2:1 degree in a finance related subject.
- 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting role (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
- Capable user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of double entry accounting and UK GAAP.
- Highly organised and a willingness to learn.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to develop relationships and work as part of a team.

The location also has good transport links to the M42/M6 motorway and Lea Hall train station is a 10-minute walk offering regular trains to Birmingham City Centre. Our Plant is a forward looking manufacturing facility with a long tradition of inclusion, teamwork and community action.
