Production Controller Coordinator

Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Grand Rapids, MI that manufactures passenger seating for city service bus, light rail, and motorcoach, and continue to lead the industry with solutions that provide value and durability.  We are looking for skilled Production Controller Coordinator to assist with this clients production needs. 

The Production Controller is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of complete parts kits to the production floor.

Essential Functions:

• Review BOM pick lists and identify missing or incomplete parts in kits delivered to the production floor.
• Collaborate closely with inventory and supply chain teams to locate and procure missing parts in a timely manner.
• Investigate the root causes of parts shortages, including potential issues with inventory levels, material handling, or other operational processes.
• Communicate with relevant departments, such as supply chain management, inventory control, and production teams, to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow.
• Provide ongoing feedback to inventory and supply chain teams to prevent future parts shortages and improve the kitting process.
• Track and report recurring issues in material handling or supply chain inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Ensure that all kits reaching the production floor are complete and accurate to support production schedules.
• Maintain detailed records of shortages, resolutions, and communications with relevant departments.

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or production setting.
• Familiarity with BOM (Bill of Materials), production processes, and kitting procedures.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
