Job Description:

Tasks

As the Project Cost Controller, you will perform the following duties: 

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts
  • Monitor and report on project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints
  • Develops and implements financial risk management strategies and controls to mitigate financial risk and exposure and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial compliance and accountability
  • Develops and implements internal cost control systems, operational procedures and reporting systems for the new company
  • Development of new controlling structure and processes for the new company
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders, including summaries and cash flow projections

 

* Perform other special tasks and projects requested by the department head

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications: 

  • University/technical college degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in business administration processes and cost management
  • Experience in leading contract negotiation is an advantage
  • Experience in accounting, financial analysis, controllership, risk management and reporting principles considered as an asset
  • Project management experience
  • Business Fluent in English language required
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial context
  • Knowledge of cost management software and tools
  • Resilience to stress and high workload, advanced conflict management skills
  • Willingness to work in Canada and abroad
  • Must possess a legal work permit in Canada
