Tasks
As the Project Cost Controller, you will perform the following duties:
- Develop and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts
- Monitor and report on project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints
- Develops and implements financial risk management strategies and controls to mitigate financial risk and exposure and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial compliance and accountability
- Develops and implements internal cost control systems, operational procedures and reporting systems for the new company
- Development of new controlling structure and processes for the new company
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders, including summaries and cash flow projections
* Perform other special tasks and projects requested by the department head

Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications:
- University/technical college degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in business administration processes and cost management
- Experience in leading contract negotiation is an advantage
- Experience in accounting, financial analysis, controllership, risk management and reporting principles considered as an asset
- Project management experience
- Business Fluent in English language required
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial context
- Knowledge of cost management software and tools
- Resilience to stress and high workload, advanced conflict management skills
- Willingness to work in Canada and abroad
- Must possess a legal work permit in Canada
