Position Summary
Applies principles of accounting to assist with various accounting responsibilities including variance analysis, month end close, accounts payable, fixed assets and hourly payroll.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Monthly closing, journal entries and related activities.
- Various monthly and quarterly account reconciliations/analysis.
- Interaction and processing of accounts payable and ensuring controls are met in the proper auditing and accounting for various invoices and check request documents. Focus on ERS implementation.
- Budget review and analysis.
- Process fixed asset capitalizations, transfers, and reporting.
- Weekly processing and oversight of hourly payroll.
- Various monthly accounting duties and responsibilities.
- Special projects as required, including process improvements.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting.
- One to two years accounting experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of all aspects of general accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
- Ability to handle many tasks at a given time and work effectively with others in a team environment.
