SUMMARY

As an Aftermarket Business Analyst, you will apply data-mining, statistical and advanced modeling techniques to many types of data on a daily basis. You will be responsible for looking creatively at complicated business problems and developing innovative solutions, which is than presented to senior management through business KPIs. This position requires a high level of interaction with Management, Customer Service Representatives, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance and Procurement.

 

This position requires being able to articulate the current situation as well as analyzing processes, exceptions, business trends, market feedback, and historical data to make tactical adjustments and continuous improvement recommendations. Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the implementation of aftermarket planning strategies.
  • Lead monthly cross-functional demand reviews with Sales, Marketing and Finance.
  • Work with large sets of data to measure KPIs across various platforms.
  • Maintain an 18-month rolling forecast for spares parts, kitting, and repairs and overhauls to ensure timely and accurate monthly forecast loads into MRP environment.
  • Monitor actual shipments vs. forecast and communicate significant variances and associated risks to key stakeholders.
  • Analyze demand by customer and product to identify demand trends to improve the forecast and share information with Sales, Marketing, Field Support, Customer Support, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Develop, recommend and manage the global inventory stocking and customer service levels “plan-for-every-part”.
  • Prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
  • Prepare Executive S&OP platform reviews synthesizing key forecast details and trends.
  • Perform pricing related activities per business requirements.
  • Must apply urgency to their endeavors to exceed leadership expectations, develop strategies and priorities for critical issues.
  • Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of personal satisfaction in task follow through/completion a necessity.
  • Strong skills with Excel, MS Access and other analytical programs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Access to Export Control Information required.
  • Regular attendance at the worksite required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College/University or 4+ years of equivalent relevant experience preferably in demand planning and/or inventory management.
  • Preferences will be given to those with: 1) Visual Basic for Application experience; 2) Supply Chain, Business or Procurement Degrees; and 3) Specific military or commercial Aerospace or OEM airframer aftermarket planning experience.
