Aircraft Logs and Records Technician

Aircraft Logs and Records Technician, GS-301-07: Maintains aircraft and engine logbooks and associated records. Proficient performing all operator, data entry and retrieval functions associated with aircraft recordkeeping. Performs networking functions between individual stations, including analysis and correction of errors caused by software, hardware or data entry. Transmits and receives data via floppy disk, modem and other electronic means. Extracts data, formulates and interprets management reports, creates archives, backups, and data saves in support of military deployments and detachment operations. Performs a wide range of clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance, such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing, performing database and systems analysis.

Skills and Knowledge:

The Contractor shall be able to provide Intermediate level (I-Level) repair support for the T56 Power Section Assembly (PSA), T56 Reduction Gearbox Assembly (RGB), T56 Torquemeter (T/M), T56 Turbine Unit Change Assembly (TUCA) and T-56 Quick Engine Change Assembly (QECA). All these items comprise the T56-A-425/427/427A Turboprop Engine.

Task Requirements:

  • Administrative support for repair T56-A-425/427/427A QECA and Modules
  • Perform inspection of aircraft engine records
  • Engine maintenance action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means
  • Administrative support for complete engine and engine module tear down and build up, operational check
  • Administrative support for general engine maintenance
  • Technical Directive compliance and modifications
  • Administrative support for repairing, maintaining, modifying and overhauling aircraft engines and engine modules not mounted on aircraft.
  • Administrative support for ground support equipment planned maintenance system
  • Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment as appropriate for task(s)
  • Use HAZMAT as appropriate for task(s)
  • Perform general housekeeping
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Preferred Personnel Qualifications:

  • Five or more years’ Logs and Records experience on T56-A-425/427/427A
  • Configuration Management for Organizational and Intermediate Activities (C-555-0059)
  • Aeronautical Technical Publications Library Management (C-555-0007)
  • NALCOMIS OOMA System Administrator (C-555-0049)
  • Utilize the current management information system(s) to maintain aircraft forms and records as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Navy Aviation Maintenance Administrationman (AZ) “A” School and/or equivalent with five years relevant experience.
  • SE Configuration Management course (C-555-0057)
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift schedule if required.
  • Must be able to work flexible work-week schedules i.e. M-F or as required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI).
  • All Contractors are required to have a Common Access Card (CAC) and shall be required to pass the equivalent of a trustworthy National Agency Check plus Written Inquiries with Credit Check (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 “Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance”, or latest guidance, prior to being allowed to work under task order PWS.

Compensation

$35.65/hour

Other Compensation

Employees receive a health and welfare benefit of $8.85 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
