SUMMARY:
The Aircraft Scheduler is responsible for maintaining flight schedule integrity for the Kalitta Air fleet of aircraft.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Utilize scheduling programs (MISA/ASTRO/EXCEL) to Manage the fleet schedule in order to
- maximize utilization of aircraft
- reduce non-revenue flying
- meet aircraft maintenance requirements
- meet customer requirements
- protect schedule Integrity and on time performance
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement viable flight schedules to meet added customer demand
- Coordinate with various departments (Crew Scheduling, Permits, Ground Services, etc) to develop viable flight schedules that can be executed in a safe, efficient, profitable manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Aircraft Scheduling, or Aircraft Scheduling Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Aircraft Scheduler must have experience in a flight dispatch center. Have attention to detail, be able to think analytically; multi-tasking and stress management skills required. Must be able supervise effectively. Must be a High school graduate. It is desired applicant have some college and/or technical school as well as an FAA Dispatch Certification.
Applicant must demonstrate through the interview process the capability to speak and read the English language, the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, and the ability to convert between different units of measure, compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
