As a CAD Specialist 1 you will work with a group of experienced CAD designers in the Rosemont, Illinois office along with other global engineering offices in support and development of engineering drawings for customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Piping and Instrument Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Material Selection Diagrams and various other technical drawings.
- Reviews of PIDs, PFDs to ensure quality and drafting specifications are adhered to.
- Maintain high level of quality at times under tight time constraints.
- Demonstrates ability to extend basic engineering principles and apply them to actual problems.
- Assignments are task based and with various scopes and degrees of complexity
- Entry level understanding of applicable external design codes and standards. Capable of applying design procedures and practices to real time designs. Growing knowledge of and experience with UOP specific applications.
- Engage with other teams to find opportunities, understand requirements, and translate those requirements into technical solutions
The annual base salary range for this position is $58,800.00 - $72,500.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
- AS degree in CAD applications or 5+ in CAD drafting experience.
- Proficient in MicroStation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Demonstrates good technical communication and presentation skills.
- Position requires performance of advanced computer aided design/drafting/checking, presentation, procedures, commands and practices. Determines the most effective drawing presentation.
- Be able to receive training/orientation to provide experience and familiarization with a broad range of methods, practices and programs.
