Job Description SummaryChemical and Consumable store management encompasses the principles and processes involved in running the day-to-day operations of a chemical store. At a high level, this includes receiving and organizing warehouse space, managing inventory and fulfilling orders.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management:
Monitor and control inventory levels, stock accuracy and stock rotation.
Examining related materials and goods to identify defects and check the quantity.
Communicating with clients, suppliers and vendors by email or phone to coordinate on schedule shipments.
Manage inventory accurately and stock take weekly.
Manage warehouse and arrange goods to be stacked tidily and safely with methods like stickers and labels.
Liaise with appointed transporter and forwarder for delivery.
Ensure all stock transaction is updated timely to avoid any discrepancy between physical and system.
Constantly improve efficiency in process flow by participating in one-on-one monitoring of staffs performing tasks.
Maintain and plan calibration schedule for data logger.
Download and analyze temperature data to make sure everything is within the storage requirement.
Maintain vending machine operation.
Check and monitor storage safety requirement are according to SDS & DOSH requirement.
Check and monitor all item have updated SDS (5 years).
To make sure all items received are according to COC.
Maintain 5S for the warehouse location.
Ensure that all warehouse operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Material Planning:
Register new material and maintain master data in SAP.
Responsible for order fulfillment process from checking availability of goods.
Manage stock level according to min and Max and demand from Production.
Plan stock replenishment based on min max of stocks.
Follow up on PR/PO approval.
Monitor and follow up material delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements
Possess a basic degree from a recognized university specializing in Business Administration or any relevant discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse & inventory management.
Experience in chemical warehouse operation is added advantage.
Hands-on experience with SAP system.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
