Role Introduction
  • The job holder supports the C&B and Policy Manager in developing the total rewards programmes for CM, to ensure the right rewards framework and tools are in place in the Company, effectively incentivise and recognise high performance to support the Company to achieve business objectives.
  • The jobholder is accountable for ensuring business (employee data governance) processes comply with the regulations and requirements. Review, plan and implement processes to provide clear guidance and share best practices to drive and manage the Data Governance BAU model.
  • The jobholder is accountable for HR policy development, and review, redrafting and communication of all people policies throughout the Hire to Retire life-cycle for Chinese mainland including GBA.
  • The jobholder is accountable for data analytics activity, includes undertaking statistical analysis, presenting data and reports.
Key Responsibilities

People Policy

  • Assist Regional People Manager on creation, review and implementation of company policy across all departments in Chinese mainland
  • Continually study country and local port’s laws and new regulations, and maintain and update People policy to ensure the alignment with the legislative requirements, company values and Headquarter guideline
  • Ensure policies are bundled, organised, written and communicated in an accessible way – and ensuring processes are in place for execution in the region
  • Advise employees and stakeholders on policy clarification issues and out of policy requests

People data analysis and insights

  • Manage the People department reporting framework, including collecting and tracking data, building statistical models and conducting analysis of results and trends
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to examine specific data that is influencing business performance and productivity
  • Develop and maintain HR reports and data visualizations to provide insights for management decision
  • Support People department initiatives and projects that require data / research
  • Present reports and insights in visually attractive ways to help user understanding
  • Prepare HR reports timely and ensure the accuracy

Rewards programmes design and management

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of competitive Total Rewards programmes in Chinese mainland by managing and evaluating spanet trends and are in compliance with China legal requirements.
  • Support job evaluation, grading review, compensation and benefits benchspaning exercises, spanet analyses and other cost modelling to ensure pay and grading is appropriate to the duties and responsibilities of jobs, and the remuneration practices are promoting sound and effective risk management and supporting our business objectives.
  • Manage the renewal of different subscription and services contracts and benefit schemes by reviewing the renewal terms and liaising with vendors and services providers on renewal processes and assist in tasks related to employee benefits / services budget and expenses management.
  • Provide support for manager including ad-hoc analysis and modelling/ material preparation, review of all temporary and permanent reward change submissions across all employee groups.

Total rewards advisory and operations

  • Support the manager to provide C&B advice on rewards matters, supporting the business to acquire, motivate, retain talent, and support labour and industrial relations whilst adhering to global guidelines.
  • Provide support on job evaluation, including BAU salary benchspaning for new positions or changed roles, and ad-hoc job evaluation exercise, manage impact analyses and implementation planning.
  • Maintain the day-to-day rewards operations, and ensure data integrity in HR systems.
  • Support in planning, analysis and implementation of C&B or other HR initiatives and projects across teams as assigned.

Compliance

  • Closely monitor and study on government regulation changes/updates or newly release which will affect company policy or employee compensation and benefits, and provide insights to support the management identifying and recommending necessary changes
  • Conduct local legislative reporting to government and other regulatory bodies as requested in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure fully compliance during HR daily operations

E&A

  • Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a closely related discipline

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience as in-house HR professional and/or in HR consultancy preferably in multinational with 4 years of hands-on experience in compensation & benefits and rewards.
  • Be familiar with China employment related regulations, policies and PIP law
  • Practical knowledge and experience in a Human Resources environment, particularly in payroll,  insurance, work health and safety and job evaluation and analysis, is a distinct advantage
  • Experience in working with a global matrix organisation and familiar with HRIS, such as People Soft, Work day
  • Collaborative and energetic, ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Business acumen and curiosity
  • Data-driven and highly analytical, and able to translate data and trends into insights and actionable recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written English communication / copy writing skills
  • Strong excel skills and experience using statistical modelling software is advantageous, e.g. Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiar with HK social welfare, income tax or related policies is plus
  • High integrity, well organised and time management
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently, following tight deadlines and an agile approach.
