Job Summary
Join our Danbury, CT team as a Data Management Analyst focusing on Configuration Management in support of our Engineering organization. You will be responsible for high standards of quality and process adherence in the Configuration Management (CM) department and part of a high functioning team that ensures processes and procedures are implemented and compliant with contractual and internal requirements. In this role you will review, prepare, submit, and manage Item Masters (Part ’s, Bill of Materials) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) per all applicable ISO processes utilizing Empower Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool. Check all documents/drawings for accuracy, manage files and administrate archives. Process test data in accordance with internal procedures. Utilize status accounting and performance metrics within the scope of Engineering design documentation.
What You Will Do
- Process Item Master and Engineering Change Orders per processes on schedule with a critical focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Perform detail review of drawings/documents for correctness per configuration management’s checklist
- Perform detail review of test data per process
- Assemble technical data packages for delivery to customer/suppliers
- Perform various configuration management activities in support of the Engineering organization
- Act as a resource for department needs in the areas of training, troubleshooting, and project coordination
- Act as the internal customer contact point on supported projects for CM matters
- Support Change Control Board (CCB) activities
- Show excellent teamwork in support of customer needs for quality work products and on-time deliveries
- Demonstrate the ability to plan, manage, and communicate progress on assignments
- Identify opportunities for improvement
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent attention to detail and process
- Ability to follow processes verbatim
- Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and with cross-functional teams
- Experience with MS Office applications and knowledge of SharePoint and Confluence
- Knowledge of military and commercial CM requirements, specifications, and standards
- Experience with the application of CM-related policies, procedures, and tools
- Knowledge of PLM tools (Omnify/Empower, Arena, Windchill) in regard to the control and structure of parts, Bill of Materials, documentation/drawings
- Working knowledge of engineering change and revision control processes
- Working knowledge of ISO and CMMI practices
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools and principals (CostPoint, SAP, Oracle)
