Data Scientist Analyst
Fort Bragg, NC
Contract Position
$48.00-$60.00/Hour
Support special operations forces by contributing to logistics and ground support systems that ensure the readiness and effectiveness of elite units. This role provides the chance to support high-priority missions, offering insights into the logistics and sustainment of critical defense operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform exploratory research to identify meaningful patterns in data and use statistical methods to confirm or refute hypotheses, providing actionable insights for business value.
- Utilize tools such as GPU processing, distributed computing, cloud computing, machine learning, system modeling, and simulation to achieve results.
- Apply expertise in applied statistics, text mining, natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and optimization.
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to solve operational problems and support decision-making.
- Extract and query large volumes of structured and unstructured data from databases using SQL and other programming methods, including APIs, web scraping, and surveys.
- Prepare and clean data for modeling, ensuring preprocessing steps handle missing data and eliminate irrelevant information.
- Use exploratory data analysis (EDA) techniques to identify trends and uncover new opportunities.
- Build programs to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Present findings through data visualizations and reports to communicate actionable insights to leadership and IT teams.
- Recommend process improvements and cost-effective strategies based on analytical outcomes.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI Clearance required.
- Education: Background in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with the ability to handle both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Proficient in SQL, EDA, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Familiar with cloud computing technologies, distributed systems, and GPU processing.
