Our EHS team is dedicated to ensuring workplace is safe, sustainable, and compliant with all relevant regulations. By implementing proactive measures and developing a culture of safety, we help protect employees, product, and the environment. As an EHS Site Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in advancing these objectives and integrating EHS solutions while working with engineering programs, which drive innovation and excellence across our product lines. You’ll be able to use your technical abilities on in these areas, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

What you’ll be doing as a EHS Site Support Specialist

  • Multiple site project management and responsibility of leading the development and implementation of comprehensive EHS programs in areas of engineering, industrial, and office workspaces.
  • Improve EHS workplace performance by promoting a safe workplace, identifying, and mitigating safety risks and implementing Bell safety programs: Safety Culture, Safety Compliance and Safety Prevention.
  • Development and presentation of workplace safety trainings for team of Safety Advocates.
  • Development and implementation of programs and procedures to assure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local occupational safety standards and Bell requirements.
  • Facilitate safety incident investigations, work with key stakeholders to develop root cause analysis, and identify corrective actions.
Job Requirements:

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Leadership abilities with proven experience in leading EHS initiatives with strong project management skills.
  • Analytical Skills in collecting and reviewing data for risk assessment for short and long-term mitigations.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with strong verbal and written communications skills, capable of effectively providing complex EHS concepts to diverse audiences including levels of leadership.
  • Experience working alongside engineering teams, with an understanding of the unique EHS challenges in developmental environments.
  • Professional certifications such as but not limited to CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), similar credentials are highly desirable.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, system engineering/industrial engineering or equivalent sciences/engineering studies. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
  • 6 years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety role.
  • Proactive mindset in anticipating and addressing potential safety and environmental issues before issues arise.
  • Understanding of robotic systems and other ANSI standards
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships and work collaboratively with teams
  • Detail-Oriented approach in providing regulatory requirements and documenting EHS procedures and incidents.
  • Problem-Solving Skills – both creative and practical approaches in resolving safety and health challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
