The HR Business Specialists assist the HR Business Partners in collaborating with functional areas to implement the people strategy aligned with the overall business plan.

Under the daily guidance of an HR Business Partner, the HR Business Specialists leverage their expertise across various HR disciplines to offer expert advice and coaching to business leaders. They play a key role in the comprehensive delivery of organisational development and people-related change initiatives, while also supporting the HR Business Partners in executing the Centre of Excellence agendas within the functional areas, including Reward and People Development.

What youll be doing

You will support business leaders and HR Business Partners in designing and delivering people-related changes, projects, and programs, including organisational design, cultural changes, and adjustments to ways of working or terms and conditions. Aligning with easyJets TOM and OD methodology, youll develop organisational design and implementation plans, ensuring thorough assessment of people impacts, resource requirements, and cross-functional dependencies. Provide expert, legally compliant, and commercially focused advice on people and OD changes. Lead functional talent reviews at TLS and M&P levels and support HR Business Partners in performance calibrations, HMP talent reviews, and succession planning. Assist in delivering the Reward agenda, including the annual pay review and bonus cycle, review salary offers, and conduct job evaluations. Manage out-of-cycle salary and headcount requests, submit business cases to the Reward Sub-Committee, and update HR systems and stakeholders. Regularly review people metrics and provide insights to functional leaders. Support the creation or amendment of job descriptions, manage IR35 assessments, and ensure Workday is updated following changes. Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to capture cost impacts and headcount changes in budgets, and work with Employee Relations to support employee communication and consultation for people or OD changes.

Job Requirements:

What you'll bring to the team

Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site HR organisation is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to utilise storytelling and data insights to advocate for change and present logical solutions to business problems. Proven experience in leading people change initiatives, including organisational design, is required. A broad and in-depth understanding of UK employment legislation, including collective employment law and collective bargaining, is necessary. Candidates must possess excellent organisational skills to meet tight, conflicting deadlines and manage their workload effectively. The ability to quickly build relationships, adapt temperament, influence stakeholders at all levels, and challenge current thinking around organisational design is crucial. Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure are key, as well as the ability to work independently with confidence, demonstrate a development-oriented mindset, and self-motivation. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant HR systems is also required.

Location & Hours of Works

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week.  Hybrid working with 3 days in the office.
