Our 10-week internship program provides aspiring professionals with the opportunity to take flight in their careers by providing a dynamic and immersive experience that goes beyond traditional learning. As an intern, you will make an impact on the company by contributing to hands-on projects and critical business needs. You will experience larger ongoing projects as well as short-term projects throughout the summer that make a real business impact on Sun Countrys objectives. Upon successful completion of the summer internship program, you may be considered for employment opportunities within Sun Country.
Essential Functions
EXAMPLES OF HRBP/TOTAL REWARDS INTERN SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES (may vary depending on applicant experience and area of education focus)
- Gathering/analyzing data and developing reporting tools and resources in areas related to recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, turnover, compensation and benefits.
- Will participate and gain experience in process development, Employee Relations matters and Leave Accommodations.
- Will also participate in developing and auditing HRIS systems Assist with launching our Case Management system.
- Will support Total Rewards through spanet research on compensation and job descriptions reviews.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college
- Minimum sophomore status by the time the internship begins
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check
- Able to complete the full 10-week internship program (June-August 2025)
Preferred Skills
- On- or off-campus leadership experience
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven project coordination skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and establish priorities
- High degree of organization, self-motivation and creative thinking
- Preference for those with degrees in HR, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or other degrees within Social Science
- Preference provided for those with candidates with interest and education within HR that include but are not limited to, data analysis, auditing, and automating systems and dashboards.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
