Position Summary
The Digital IT Technical Specialist (Level 1) is considered a subject matter expert and is responsible for the implementation and support of highly secure and resilient information technology solutions supporting Parker’s global warehousing and distribution operations. Within this area, the Digital and IT Technical Specalist is accountable for delivery of technical systems and solutions, architecture design and documentation, and supporting enterprise and global environments while focused on continuous improvement in support of the Global Distribution Systems strategic vision and roadmap.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- As the subject matter expert for the below items, understand all business needs and impact/risk of systematic and operational changes, improvements, and upgrades while communicating all related activity and effectively managing customer expectations.
- All systematic activity surrounding the outbound and shipping processes for US PSC’s
- Warehouse automation integration and execution for US PSC’s
- Stay abreast of new warehouse related Digital and IT technological innovations and processes and researches their application at Parker
- Leads the development and implementation of warehouse management and automation solutions that address new business requirements and manage risk
- Coordinate the development of training materials and techniques to train team members on enterprise warehouse management and automation systems.
- Provide architectural, technical, and process documentation for implementations, changes, improvements, and upgrades to warehouse management and automation systems.
- Lead and coordinate support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activity for enterprise warehouse management and automation systems demonstrating critical thinking and Lean problem-solving techniques.
- Coordinate ongoing systematic regression testing for enterprise warehouse management and automation systems
- Represent Distribution Systems in Corporate Change Advisory Board presenting departmental changes and determining impact/risk of all changes to the enterprise warehouse and automation systems
- Provide after hours support for enterprise warehouse management related systems
- Have a broad understanding of Digital and IT and operational strategies across all functions and can assess impact within own area of responsibility. Effectively interpret business requirements and transform into information technology or other appropriate solutions.
- Performs benchspan and ROI analysis on existing & new Digital and IT solutions in order to estimate, develop and manage departmental, project, and operational budgets and cost/performance analysis.
- Ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications
- 4-year University / College Degree or significant technical certifications
- Five or more years’ experience in Information Technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills among all levels of the organization
- Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contactors, and stakeholders
- Experience in security best practices and compliancy requirements
