Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Shipside Operations Specialist (Ship Captain) to join our H-47 Operations team in Ridley Park, PA.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports daily tier meetings and drive timely resolution of known constraints to responsible support organizations
Works cross-functionally to resolve issues impacting the production schedule such as engineering issues, part shortages, and staffing constraints
Analyzes defect data to determine point of origin and root cause, and develop corrective action plans to prevent defect reoccurrence
Develops and execute continuous improvement projects to help achieve cost and schedule targets as well as overall business goals and objectives
Develops organizational and technical strategies to support production needs
Provides input to Program Management teams on aircraft operations and delivery status as well as major aircraft build milestones and critical restraints
Develops and maintain relationships and partnerships with Manufacturing Leadership, Program Management, and support organizations
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years’ experience managing or leading a project
3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
Experience working with MS Office Suite, such as Word, Excel and MS Project
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) experience
Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
Experience collecting and analyzing data and generating metrics reports
Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

Work Location:

Summary pay range: USD $106,250 - $143,750
