As Lead Sourcing Initiatives Specialist you will play a crucial role in the Sourcing strategy, closely monitoring that our suppliers comply with their commitments, ensuring we have a risk mitigation strategy and -when needed- proactively and timely putting in place a recovery plan, supervising its execution.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for all the activities related to Suppliers promise integrity (purchase orders fulfillment).
Responsible from a delivery point of view for the Suppliers risk mitigation and
Support the Supplier Assessment team in executing improvement plans in case of any issue.
Guarantee on time delivery for critical parts impacting the plants performances, KPI monitoring and improvement through specific action plans, Customer Impact avoidance, delinquency level reduction and minimizing inventory, jointly working with the MRP planners.
Will directly report to the Procurement team within Sourcing Organization and will be co-located in the relevant Commodity.
Collaborate and coordinate actions plans for improvement, working both with supplier and internally with Supplier Quality Engineer/ Engineering team /Plants / Finance to enable resolution, referring to Procurement Leader in case of escalation.
Owns the delivery recovery plans (GW) and the Supplier’s delivery KPI. For parts in the NPI process, will take over the GW responsibility after the FAI is approved.
Visit suppliers onsite when necessary
Order book review and management of payment issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years sourcing, procurement or fulfillment experience) + minimum of 3 years sourcing, procurement of fulfillment experience
Desired Characteristics
- Proficient in Italian
- Demonstrated skills to lead projects and document, plan, and execute programs
- Knowledge of SAP MM Module certificate
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems and work in a cross-functional teamwork environment
- Previous experience in materials planning
