Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Integrated AD authentication (Kerberos, LDAP and/or Centrify)
Experience with SMTP, DHCP, DNS, NIS, LDAP, CIFS, NFS, Samba and *NIX system security
Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products like Symantec NetBackup and experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities (e.g. Antivirus)
Experience gathering requirements, designing, and implementing appropriate solutions, application installation and multi-server environment/deployment and IT incident/service request system
Experience with HP server hardware support and diagnosis, storage hardware support and diagnosis
Automation via scripting - file replication, file system tuning, upgrading and configuring
Experience with HP server and storage hardware and knowledge of NAS and/or SAN (e.g. NetApp), experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter technologies
Familiar with Splunk & Centrify products, BASH Scripting and Ansible
CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Linux/Unix System Administrator

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
