Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance and ability to audit internal systems to international management systems standards such as AS9100, AS9110, ISO 9001, and NADCAP.
- Directing the calibration system which includes leading team of calibration technicians, measuring KPI’s related to the calibration system, and dispositioning of out of calibration equipment.
- Update, review and approve of operating procedures and departmental work instructions stored on internal network while ensuring compliance to all international management systems standards.
- Provide training guidance to departmental supervisors when changes to any internal documents or audit findings occur.
- Leads the F.O.D. prevention program which includes auditing site and providing continuous improvement plans guided to prevent foreign object debris/damage.
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, and/or Operations within a Manufacturing environment)
Desired Characteristics
- 3+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering, and/or Operations within a Manufacturing environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
