Arconic is currently in search of Oracle Linux Database Administrator to join our Global Rolled Products Team in Bettendorf, IA.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle databases (11g, 19c, 23ai) and Unix/Linux OS (OL5, OL9) located at the Davenport Works location through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Implement and maintain robust backup & DR practices.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Support Arconic Compliance activities by performing annual system testing for adherence to IT System and Audit requirements, assists audit teams and internal audit teams as required, and performs Disaster Recovery testing as required.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, math, or related subject.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- 5 years’ minimum experience in a similar role.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
- Experience working with Windows servers, including Active Directory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience with translating business requirements into system functional and non-functional requirements.
- Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices, including firewall rules, Active Directory, and low-level security.
- Knowledge of API or rest services integrations.
