DoD Clearance: SecretWe are seeking a Physical Security Specialist to support our growing Special Access Program portfolio in Cedar Rapids. This position will be responsible for maintaining a compliant physical security program and accreditations for 30+ program areas in accordance with DoD SAP Security Manual 5205.07, NISPOM, ICD 705, and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals or Special Program Security directives.
** This position is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. Relocation assistance is available if needed. **
What YOU will do:
Develop, implement, and maintain physical security protocols, procedures, and standards
Conduct physical security surveys, identifying vulnerabilities and making recommendations to enhance security
Support Site Security Manager during construction of new/renovated program areas; provide security guidance during design and construction phases
Prepare and maintain required documentation: Construction Security Plan, Fixed Facility Checklists, TEMPEST Checklists, Compartmented Area Checklists, Co-use/Joint-use Agreements
Conduct periodic and annual inspections of program Protected Distribution Systems (PDS)
Oversight of UL and fire suppression compliance/maintenance within program areas
Manage SAP safe and lock program: maintenance, combination tracking, changing of combination
Perform destruction of classified material, coordinate classified destruction runs, and maintain destruction equipment
Apprise internal stakeholders of security changes in government security requirements and procedures.
Coordination with facilities and maintenance personnel to address security discrepancies
Conduct security self-inspection program and initiates actions to correct deficiencies and improve the overall security posture across each program area.
Create reports and metrics for leadership tracking
Qualifications YOU Must Have:
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Ideal candidate must have working knowledge of physical security concepts and requirements supporting the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
Must possess an active Secret clearance with current T3 investigation within the first year.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a broad range of personnel.
Working knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.07 and ICD705
Working knowledge of access control systems, intrusion detection systems (to include UL2050 requirements)
Must be willing to travel domestically – Minimum travel (5-10), generally supporting other company facilities
Successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; willing to work in a secure office environment as a member of the security team; and able to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced program environment

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
