Position Overview

The Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work packages are planned

efficiently through initiation, organization, execution, control and closure for every aircraft visit with

emphasis on quality and accuracy of the finished product. This position will have knowledge of the most

accurate status of the aircraft for each assigned project.

1. Estimate customer supplied work packages and programs for individual skills. Determine cumulative program cost for labor hours by skill.
2. Create work breakdown matrix for cost accounting to support the customer and HAECO billing requirements and input into the MAJIC service order.
3. Enter individual work cards into the MAJIC service order with the job description, estimated man-hour requirements by skill and any customer card references as necessary.
4. Produce HAECO required printed operations to be included in the work package.  
5. Print customer work packages with cover sheets and assemble.
6. Provide a work package tally book for each aircraft.
7. Develop aircraft master script in Excel listing all work cards to be completed by day for each C-check or above.
8. Maintain an Excel master matrix for all customer task cards and script data.
9. Maintain Excel history files of estimates versus actual amount on all programs to assist in future pricing.
10. Ensure all work breakdown codes are priced and loaded correctly for the customer invoice.
11. Monitor work packages for changes and revisions and capture additional cost of increases to the work scope.
12. Coordinate with tooling and material departments as well as production on any new work scope being added to ensure minimum impact to the program. 
13. Schedule and lead pre-induction meetings for all Maintenance and other support staff, as 

necessary to provide an overview of each project’s work scope.

1. Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are

performed within the guidelines as specified by the HAECO Safety Manual.

1. Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
2. Must be able to work weekend duty and after hours calls on a rotation basis with the other Planning Analysts

What you need: (Requirements)

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Two (2) years aviation experience
3. Read, write, speak and understand the English language
4. Basic computer knowledge of typical PC and mainframe programs
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Good problem-solving skills
7. Displays a professional demeanor and appearance
8. Capable of planning, presenting and executing pre-planning meeting agenda goals
9. Must be a self-starter and ability to work with minimum supervision
10. Ability to read and understand prints/technical work instructions
11. Infrequent local and out-of-town travel may be required involving driving and/or passenger travel on commercial aircraft
12. Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences
13. Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.
14. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, and stoop as necessary.
15. Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
16. Normal office environment where approximately 70 of work is performed in a sitting position.
17. Frequent exposure to the outside hangar areas for meetings and employee relations functions for varying lengths of time.

Preferred:

1. Two (2) year’s specific aircraft planning/pricing
2. Two (2) years aviation mechanical “hands on” experience
3. Two (2) years commercial aircraft experience
4. Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft related scheduling and maintenance packages
5. Strong Excel use experience
6. Four-year college degree in business, aviation management, engineering or related field
7. A&P Certification
