Job Description SummaryThis role is a part of the Separation Management Office supporting the transition from GE Corporate to GE Aerospace. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the planning and implementing of multiple large scale transition efforts.
The Preboarding Services Specialist delivers services supporting various GE Aerospace functions within the preboarding processes. This role is focused on facilitating efficient onboarding by working directly with the new hires and aiding them in the completion of all onboarding requirements. Additionally, this role responds and solves to process queries from employees, managers and HRM’s in a timely and professional manner according to established standards, expectations and established metrics. Provides continuous improvement focus to improve customer service levels and delivery of efficient processes and services. Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact in preboarding support and services in a faced paced environment for various client groups within GE Aerospace.
- Manage day to day support for preboarding related service tickets, processes, transactions, escalations and program/event support (including offer letters, employment agreements, background checks, drug screen and other preboarding documentation and processes).
- Build relationships and provide a positive customer experience with functional stakeholders, external candidates, employees, HRMs and people managers to deliver efficient services.
- Leverage relationships with various functions throughout the business to understand their needs and execute accordingly.
- Provide continuous communication to People Leaders to ensure positive hire experience within preboarding and beyond, ensuring new hire has a warm welcome into GE Aerospace.
- Operate within compliance guidelines while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and with a view to sharing knowledge with other members of the team.
- Learn and apply Lean principles in maintenance of functional standard work and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Become a subject matter expert and serve as a mentor to others on the team.
- May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience in Human Resources.)
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in HRIS systems, Workday preferred
- Experience in customer service delivery; strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of employment and hiring practices and regulations, industry practices, products and methodologies
- Knowledge of tiered support service models and applications.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a high demand environment.
- Ability to flex and support different assignments as needed.
- Ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
- Ability to influence, advise and guide others through options and points of view
- Ability to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; demonstrated skill in judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems
- Experience in reconciling and interpreting large data sets, analytics and performance metrics
Pay and Benefits:
- The base pay range for this position is $71,900 - 107,800. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on February 23rd, 2024.
