This team member is responsible for ensuring all spaces are maintained and optimized for the delivery of world class manufacturing spaces. This role will work under the direction of the Site Manager, with day-to-day interaction with Shop Floor Employees, Industrial Engineers, and People Leaders.
This position is for a Facilities professional who can work independently or with a team. You will implement requisite changes and new or modified plans. Inspect projects, participate in cross functional teams, perform building assessments, and plan maintenance activities. Will contribute ideas and assist in plans to enhance the performance of the Facility and systems.
This role will be onsite in Decorah, IA.
What You Will Do:
Implement changes relative to facility and equipment
Follow and adhere to organization or government restrictions to ensure compliance with the norms
Implements new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or site emergencies
Inspects or reviews projects to evaluate compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations to ensure a safe workplace
Participate in cross functional teams to ensure building safety and security
Assist with managing site contractors, inspects work and work areas, coordinates work with affected departments
Works closely with EH&S to ensure all work and projects are compliant with our policies and procedures for high and low risk work
Plans, organizes, and schedules activities, which may include maintenance, construction, renovation, space planning, repairs, to ensure proper functioning of facilities
Assesses work and repairs to determine when activities should be managed internally or externally with contractors
Work closely with our global security team to ensure physical security controls are functional and site is secure

Project cost estimation in preparation for project and annual operating budgets
Performance of duties and responsibilities with a mindset of continuous improvement

Work with teams who have diverse backgrounds, skills, and experience

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Must be available to respond to site safety and building emergencies off hours
Qualifications We Prefer:
Background mechanical, construction management, or facilities role preferred
Experience with equipment and building maintenance scheduling and software
Knowledge of building systems and controls for compressors, hvac, lighting, elevators, access controls, pumps, and distribution systems
Experience and understanding of building schematics and blueprints
Autocad / Autodesk drafting of facilities layouts and equipment
Understanding of project management fundamentals
Experience with software systems for creation of purchase orders, work orders, and financial tracking

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
