Project Planner
Littleton / Waterton, CO
Contract Position
$44.00-$60.00/Hour
This role is supporting the space systems division of one of our longest partners in our 28 years of staffing in Aerospace and Defense. This program builds satellites and spacecraft that do amazing things in space for government and commercial customers. You will be working with a team whose satellites give earlier warning of severe weather, connect troops on the battlefield, and deliver GPS directions to a billion people worldwide. Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for new or ongoing programs, ensuring effective scheduling and risk analysis.
- Use project management tools to implement network logic, perform critical path and risk analyses, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Coordinate business rhythms and communicate schedule impacts while proposing corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Conduct independent network analyses, generating reports and metrics to evaluate schedule health.
- Ensure compliance with performance management through quality assessments and surveillance reviews.
- Maintain vertical and horizontal schedule integration across supplemental and master schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into a performance measurement baseline and ensure timely progress.
- Assist in negotiating technical content, timelines, and facilitating workaround planning as necessary.
- Prepare or contribute to custom schedule-related reports, ensuring visibility and communication of potential issues to management and engineering.
Qualifications:
- Clearance: Ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.
- Experience: 8-10 years of planning/scheduling experience with demonstrated expertise in critical path, path-to, and float analysis.
- Education/Skills:
- Hands-on experience with planning tools such as Open Plan, Microsoft Project, or Primavera.
- Experience leading major programs from concept through delivery, including proposal leadership.
- Strong understanding of Program Performance Management and integrating cost/schedule planning.
- Familiarity with MS Project Server environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple disciplines and with senior-level management.
- Proven ability to solicit and integrate input from stakeholders into schedule planning.
