Job Description SummaryThe Thought Leadership and Policy Leader will be responsible for development and execution of communications campaigns that support GE Aerospace’s policy priorities and promote the company’s perspective on the Future of Flight. This role will ensure lawmakers and other key stakeholders understand the impact GE Aerospace has at the national and local level and the impact key policies will have on the company, while also positioning GE Aerospace executives and subject matter experts as thought leaders within the broader industry.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategy: Develop and execute specific communications campaigns to support policy priorities in partnership with GE Aerospace government relations.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of both external and internal materials that support policy priorities and GE’s impact in key markets
- Media/Stakeholder Relations: Regularly engage with relevant media and other stakeholders (think tanks, associations, Hill staff) to ensure awareness of GE Aerospace perspective and identify emerging opportunities and challenges
- Crisis Communications: Work across functions at GE Aerospace to identify emerging threats, develop communications plans in anticipation of and manage media inquiries related to PA-related hot topics
- Thought Leadership Development: Cultivate opportunities to showcase GE Aerospace as a thought leader within the industry, including speaking opportunities for executives and subject matter experts, public polling, op-eds and other materials.
- Education: Support efforts to re-introduce GE Aerospace to lawmakers and other stakeholders in anticipation of 2024 spin-off.
