Job Description SummaryThe CMC Production Quality Assistant will be involved with product quality review associated with the manufacturing process on second shift, including root cause corrective action, and administrative quality documentation and process completion including MRB workload. • Own both quality assurance and quality control of manufactured components
• Resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent and by Process & Quality engineers
• Become PR certified and disposition nonconforming hardware
• Interpret engineering blueprints / specs and accurately submit MRB tickets to design engineering
• Assist in training proper NC (non-conforming) documentation on shop floor
• Communicate to production employees, peers, quality engineers, process engineers, and supervisor
• Assist production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action
• Support shop floor to deliver business results while encouraging input from area personnel working within a self-directed workforce (Teaming) environment
• Promote internal and external customer satisfaction and develop positive design engineering relationships
• Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated area
• Act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward benchmarked, best of class performance
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve 6S methodology and other Lean principles in assigned areas
• Support all elements of the quality program and drive overall quality in all aspects of manufacturing
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Associate degree from an accredited school or institution or a high school diploma / GED + a minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing experience

• Knowledge of ISO / quality procedures
• Experience with quality measurement tools
• Knowledge of GD&T and ability to read CMM reports
