Position Summary
Provides information to customers to assist them with resolving problems. Assists Engineering with new product designs, provide technical support to customers and other team members. These activities may include (but are not limited to) specifying products, strategic pricing, arranging repairs and troubleshooting existing product installations.
Scope/ Supervision and InteractionInteracts with Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, and Customer Service personnel as well as vendors. Will report directly to the Marketing Business Development Manager. Troubleshoots customer problems with sales and distribution. This role does not have direct reports.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Timely response to all customers inquires. Works closely with Engineering when appropriate and performs any assistance necessary including potential customer visits and on-site field service. Resolves customer returns issues with the division.
- Strategic pricing and quotation creation based on customer application requirements
- Conducts spanet research through trade associations, internet investigation and corporate services.
- Will develop product training and provide technical training to customers, distributors, internal training of division products (in-person, webinars etc.).
- Investigates spanet needs for innovative products and communicate them to Engineering for product development.
- Must continuously maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, and cost reduction and people productivity.
- Assists customers with applications, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Interfaces with Engineering to communicate the customer needs, new product development and existing product improvements.
- Maintains a database call log.

Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in technical service/customer service support capacity. Technical degree or equivalent experience is required.
-Technical aptitude for mechanical applications. Ability to read a technical drawing.
-Good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills (written and oral).
