Job Summary

Recruit for hourly positions and Management jobs in Aviation Cargo Handling.

Source candidates from various career websites including SAP our internal applicant tracking system. Support recruiting team by building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates.

Actively source passive candidates by conducting spanet research, developing professional relationships and referral networks.  Partner with hiring managers to understand qualification requirements of positions and develop appropriate recruitment strategies. Seeking weekly updates from hiring managers on their staffing needs. Manage the candidate search process by implementing external sourcing strategies and assessing candidates.

Apply leading-edge recruitment principles to develop strong candidate relationships and deliver high-quality talent to the facilities.  Utilize full range of recruiting methods including Internet and online database searches and attending job fairs and conferences.  Develop interview protocol; interviewing and evaluating applicants; and extending and employment offers, processing and keeping candidates noted in a tracking system.  Perform pre-employment verification and facilitate on-boarding of new hires. Effective onboarding new hires into automating system.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working in the aerospace industry is preferred but not required.
  • Must have strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and accountable to results.
  • Must be detail oriented with professional phone demeanor.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check.
  • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis
Minimum Requirements
  • One to three years previous high volume Recruiting experience preferably in aviation and cargo handling for hourly roles.  Independent judgment and decision-making skills required
  • Must be able to work some weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be proficient at Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel, Teams, and Adobe PDF
  • Light travel availability to support Regional Recruiting efforts.
Preferred Skills
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must be familiarity with personal computer software.
  • Phone Skills, Recruiting, Interviewing Skills, People Skills, Supports Diversity, Employment Law, Results Driven, Professionalism, Organization, Project Management, Judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. 
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50 of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
