Position Overview:
Working as part of the CMLU Program Controls Team, the primary responsibility of the Scheduler is to establish and maintain detailed schedules for aircraft production and other areas within the CMLU Program. Provide schedule status and resource loading requirements to the Management Team. Establish workaround solutions, when required, with team members. Analyze performance data, develop and provide reports on progress and budget status.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain and monitor progress against the Program Master Schedule and highlight deficiencies.
- Generate and develop detailed aircraft production and program workstream schedules using MS Project Server software.
- Engage with Project Managers, Production Supervision, Planners and Material personnel to develop project sequencing and identify dependencies.
- Proactively manage schedules to ensure they have the correct sequence, milestones, resource allocation, task duration, and linkages of dependencies and scheduled events.
- With the Program Controls Team, assist in developing schedule recovery plans including modeling ‘what if’ scenarios.
- Evaluate and identify schedule constraints and propose corrective actions.
- Provide weekly aircraft progress updates focusing on Complete.
- Support Program reporting including interpreting/analyzing data, assessing Program risk & schedule impact by applying analytical tools.
- Assist the Program Controls Team with monitoring cost against Program progress.
- Highlight critical items for Production and Material and develop work around plans as required.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as required.
What You Will Bring:
- Graduate of Post Secondary Institution with study focused on data analysis, manufacturing, project management, change management or related fields preferred but candidates with experience in these fields will be considered.
- B. Eng. or Industrial Engineering Technologist or equivalent diploma considered an asset.
- Registered PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) ® would be considered an asset.
- Sound knowledge of MS Project or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated logical thinking. Must have the ability to think through a problem in a logical and organized manner.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.
- Creative and innovative, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in a production environment preferred.
- Sound knowledge of performance reporting.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL Programming, J.D. Edwards software and SharePoint considered an asset.

- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
