The Senior Planner – Client Operations will provide key logistical support for Delta Professional Services (DPS) clients external to Delta Air Lines. The Senior Planner will be responsible for coordinating students with simulator events and qualified instructors. Also ensuring that all training footprints are updated when required and in compliance with FAA regulations and client requirements. Delta Professional Services (DPS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, is the Flight Training & Standards provider of choice for Delta Air Lines, its affiliates and key industry partners worldwide. This position will report to the Program Manager of ATP-CTP at Delta Professional Services (DPS).
- Manage and assign student simulator events for client students.
- Schedule and notify pilot instructors of assigned events.
- Solve scheduling issues and provide last minute changes as needed to instructor schedules.
- Proficiently operate Delta Air Lines’ scheduling tool to ensure student training events are documented properly.
- Work closely with the Program Managers to establish class schedules based on simulator and instructor availability.
- Communicate simulator availability and assignments with external partners.
- Interact with Delta Flight Operations Planning Team to coordinate flight simulator availability.
- Provide scheduling back-up to other DPS planners as needed.
- Identify and create new or improved processes to support changes in the operation.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Solid organizational and leadership skills.
Familiarity with Flight Operations and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Ability to quickly learn potentially unfamiliar programs including Delta’s database management system (DBMS), simulator scheduling tool (SIMON), and internal DPS systems.
Must be able to effectively work with internal and external business partners to drive DPS work.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Solid computer skills including proficiency with Office 365 and other Delta/DPS software.
Solid leadership skills – strong ability to lead, mentor and motivate team and peers.
Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
Problem Solving - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
Attention to Detail – Ability to produce work that is compliant and error-free while meeting established deadlines.
