BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of shipping experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in freight and expedited shipping
- Experience with international shipping, export (ITAR, EAR, BIS etc.) and customs regulations
- Proven experience as a Shipping Specialist or in a similar role with high volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive or commercial aircraft environment
- Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation
- Familiarity with shipping software and systems, such as UPS WorldShip, MyDHL or FedEx Ship Manager
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
- Experience with ERP system(s)
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft, Excel and Power Point
- Certification operating a forklift or other material handling motorized vehicles and equipment
- Hazmat Certified and working knowledge of transport guidelines as defined by 49CFR / IATA
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted, lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be available for one of the following shifts:
- Monday – Friday 6am-4:30pm
- Monday-Friday 3pm-1am
- Saturday – Wednesday 9am-7pm
- Must be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime, and weekends, as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Level 1: $22.00 - $26.50/hour
Level 2: $25.00 - $31.00/hour
Level 3: $29.00 - $37.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.

- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
