The Raytheon Solutions Design & Integration (SDI) team is to research, develop and integrate cyber compliant standardized systems solutions using innovative designs to improve the execution efficiency and capability of Digital supported programs. SDI is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Administrator/Designer support the design, integration, and administration of system solutions within classified and unclassified program work environments. They will be responsible to work with senior engineers to determine system requirement, specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of Information Systems. They will also be responsible for assisting in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex system problems developing and recommending courses of action where needed. This position requires direct on-site support at the Raytheon Marlborough, Mass location.
What You Will Do:
- Providing leadership to support a varied range of administrative tasking, to include corrective/preventive maintenance, recurring operations functions, and system optimization.
- Coordinating technical and process document reviews and resolving system administration, engineering, and integration issues.
- Participating and leading technical meetings with team members and other program personnel and representing the organization in functional area matters.
- Provide IT systems administration/design support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Develop and coordinate IT technology strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
- Analyze business requirements to develop technical solutions.
- Support proposal teams and technical review teams
- Forms effective business relationships; fosters an open culture of collaboration.
- Perform technology evaluations, develop proof-of-concepts, and look for opportunities to introduce advanced Information Technologies into solutions and products.
- Develop and drive the use of common processes and tools across the program function.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have :
- Typically, a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of direct experience or a master’s degree in and 5 years of direct experience.
- 8+ years’ experience providing technical solutions for IT systems.
- Experience in developing systems designs, including architecture and deployment.
- Experience with infrastructure technologies such: as server operating systems, server hardware, compute, storage, networks, virtualization, encryption, and security.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows, Red Hat, Ansible, VMware, Containerization, and Netapp Storage devices; Architectural and Security certifications such as TOGAF and CISSP
- Candidate must have the ability to clearly articulate ideas, process steps, and technical data in written, graphical, and spoken dialogue.
- Familiarity with Government security controls including NISPOM, JAFAN, ICD 503 and the RMF

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
