Job Description SummaryThe Stakeholder Communications Leader will be responsible for strategy and execution of key stakeholder communications and engagement for GE Aerospace. This role will ensure regular outreach to thought leaders in fields such as Aviation, innovation and sustainability and engagement of our grassroots supporters, including interested employees, suppliers, retirees and third-party supporters.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategy: Develop strategy to define and grow Aerospace stakeholder communications to reflect global footprint in its first stand-alone year, with priority audiences and issues
- Education: Work closely with policy communicators and Government Affairs to host regular webinars and other events to drive understanding of how key issues impact GE Aerospace and our supporters
- Advocacy: Develop and execute plans to bolster engagement in support of GE Aerospace goals, including amplifying good news and advocating on behalf of key policies
- Database: Cultivate additional opportunities to bring stakeholders into the GE Aerospace system for ongoing communication on issues of interest
- Local outreach and engagement: Organize and lead local events to engage with employees at key facilities as well as key suppliers and other local supporters (ie, local Chambers of Commerce) to ensure support in key locations
- Thought Leader Outreach: Develop database of key thought leadership across Aviation, innovation and sustainability and ensure regular outreach to keep GE Aerospace top-of-mind
- Content creation: Oversee the creation of both external and internal materials to help drive understanding and engagement (website, state-based fact sheets, policy papers, etc.), including incorporation of Foundation/community relations efforts
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in corporate, political or other advocacy communications
- The right candidate should have experience building campaigns with a demonstrated ability to engage and activate an audience, as well as strong writing skills to translate complicated policy issues into plain language explaining why stakeholders should care
- Ability to work well across multiple groups, to build relationships and an appetite for turning data into actionable intelligence
- Desired Characteristics Include: Superb oral, written, and digital communication skills; Strong project management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently; Ability to execute day-to-day needs while developing a long-term strategy; Self-starter; Highly collaborative
