Kawneer is currently in search of a Supply Chain Analyst to drive a Kawneer North America wide Inventory Optimization initiative. This role involves collecting data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in supply chain management.
Responsibility:
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of the supply chain.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and develop strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast future inventory needs and ensure accurate demand planning.
- Implement inventory control procedures to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Coordinate with Plants/production and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Develop and maintain an effective inventory tracking system to provide real-time visibility into inventory status.
- Forecasting: Assist in demand forecasting and production planning to ensure that supply meets demand
- Technology Utilization: Utilize supply chain management software and tools to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Building Forecasting Models using Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP (JD Edwards) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or CPIM or similar certification
