REQUIREMENT

We are seeking a motivated System Administrator to join our team delivering secure and capable risk analysis systems for the US Space Force. The ideal candidate will be comfortable maintaining system availability in accordance with established procedures, deploying and troubleshooting applications in Windows and Linux environments, updating administration and security procedures and records as necessary, and coordinating incident response and business continuity exercises. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a remote team are a must.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain availability of designated systems and networks as outlined in security and administrative procedures.
• Perform regular security operations procedures, such as applying antivirus definition updates.
• Update security and administrative procedures as required to accommodate changes.
• Prepare and coordinate submission of Authority to Operate (ATO) approval packages through eMASS and other systems as required.
• Maintain other operational system records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• DoD 8140 (451) System Administrator Intermediate Qualifications – one of:
  1. BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  2. Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC certifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to obtain and hold a SECRET security clearance
• 5 years experience.

Preferred Skills:

• DoD 8140 (511) Cyber Defense Analyst – one of:
  1. BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  2. CEH or GFACT or GISF or Cloud+ or GCED or PenTest+ or Security+ or GSEC certifications
• Experience with both Linux and Windows system administration

Desirable Skills:

• Cloud development/deployment experience
• Knowledge of database systems and data management practices (e.g. SQL).

PHYSICAL/WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Primary work environment is a standard office setting.

TRAVEL

• Travel is not anticipated, but if performed will be under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations and/or Joint Travel Regulations.
