Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is recruiting for a potential Systems Administrator position to be awarded in October 2024 concerning a US Navy - Regional Multi-domain Awareness Capability (RMAC) program.
The Systems Administrator will have responsibility for supporting RMAC systems, specifying, purchasing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting RMAC systems globally.
This Position will work out of PAX River NAS.. Patuxent River, MD AND Will Deploy when needed
Expect 2-3 week deployments at a time
Expect to deploy approximately 10 times
This position will be salaried and pay will NOT depend on how many deployments are made and additional $$$ added to specific deployment parameters
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Proficiency installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting operating systems to include Windows XP/7/10, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Linux
- Proficiency installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting networking devices to include network attached storage, remote access, IP Telephony, Cisco routers, switches, and VPN devices.
- Proficiency installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software components to include SQL RDBMS, NoSQL Object Stores, SureTrak/STING, and supporting software.
- Proficiency installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Wide Area Networking components to include PTT provisioned circuits, point to point microwave, and mesh radio services.
- Proficiency installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting sensors systems to include maritime Furuno radar, SSR radar processing, clear channel AIS, encrypted AIS, ADSB, and EO/IR camera systems
- Proficiency operating a Network Operations Center to include remote desktop support, terminal services, SNMP, and various performance monitoring tools.
- Proficiency planning and estimating full life cycle support of MDA systems to include materials procurement, testing, shipping, site preparation, installation, testing, and training.
Requirements
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience associated with technical functions as related to development of system architecture for sensor systems.
- Must have experience in working in remote overseas locations.
- Must have hardware and software experience with multi-domain awareness systems. Must have strong technical background with computer system administration, network administration, and general understanding and the ability to install/troubleshoot the following types of systems: VHF/HF communications systems, video systems, radars, AIS, ADS-B, and microwave communications systems and satellite communication systems.
Education:
- BS Degree must be in an engineering, computer science or other technical field discipline.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
