The opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our MQ-28 program in the role of Technical Publications Data Specialist. As a Technical Publications professional, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the writing, illustrating and program management of technical publications and will possess the following attributes:

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a collaborative team approach, a drive to mentor and coach other team members, well developed analytical skills and excellent written and verbal skills

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Writing / Illustrating:

  • Experience with S1000D specification
  • Ability to handle Work in Progress (WIP) management efficiently
  • Proficiency in an xml text editor for updates
  • Proficiency with creating illustrations as SVGs
  • Knowledge of revision/change management processes

Program Management:

  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with engineering and maintenance teams
  • Capability to map program changes to tech pubs updates
  • Understanding program plans for update timelines, review periods, and engineering approval
  • Ability to manage outputs from engineering teams effectively
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to handle JIRA tickets efficiently
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
