Position SummaryThe Avionics Technician works to written and verbal instructions to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of aircraft electrical and avionics systems. This role ensures all work is completed in accordance with approved maintenance procedures, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

Minimum Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent
FCC license preferred but not required
2 years of avionics experience in a heavy maintenance or modification environment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work instructions, blueprints, and drawings
Basic understanding of CFR Part 145 repair station operations
Must be able to obtain airport SIDA badge
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime
FAA A&P license a plus
Major Responsibility Areas and DutiesWork to written or verbal instructions
Perform all work assigned in accordance with approved maintenance procedures
Record work performed and assume responsibility for that work as indicated by his/her signature
Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals in performance of assigned duties
Physical Requirements and Environmental ConditionsMust be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods
Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights
Must be able to work with one or both hands extended overhead
Must have correctable near and far vision
Must be able to hear at conversational level
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Must be able to handle and maintain control of small parts and properly operate hand tools
