Aerotek is seeking qualified Aircraft Electronics Technicians. Pay range $37-44/hour plus sign-on bonus based on experience, direct hire long term role. Minimum 4+ years of recent relevant avionics experience required on resume; O-level avionics highly preferred:
- Engineering Services: Plan, design, modify, install, interface, test, evaluate, repair, and document the operation and performance of airborne test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Apply knowledge of analog and digital electronic fundamentals, solid-state device theory, digital logic and techniques, RF modulation techniques, and electromechanical drive mechanisms.
- Prototype Development: Utilize advanced working knowledge of electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, wire diagrams, block diagrams, and technical publications to build prototype electronic assemblies.
- Test Equipment Operation: Select and operate test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, frequency meters, and logic probes for tasks including checkout, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits down to the component level.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems along with test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment is necessary.
- Proficient at troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic and integrated circuits to the component level.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience is required. Successful candidates will have expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities.
- Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school, or a military equivalent is required.
- Must qualify for and maintain a Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required.
Work Environment:
- Field Environment: Capable of working in a field environment, which includes shift work, overtime, and travel to remote locations.
- Flight Line and Back Shop: Work on the flight line and in the back shop, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
