ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Make available the necessary overhaul manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and any other required technical data.
Maintain all shop equipment and tools in a serviceable and working condition.
Ascertain that all necessary work records are properly executed by the responsible mechanic.
Maintain the premises of the Repair Station in a clean and orderly manner.
Be responsible for the proper handling of all parts while in repair process and the preservation of all units or parts during process through the shop and after work is completed.
Initiate requisitions for stock and materials required.
Evaluate departmental operations recommending improvements in quality, productivity and employee relations.
Implement programs and/or procedures that strive for excellence in quality as maintained by VT SAA’s Quality Assurance program.
Resolve departmental problems by identify the problem, researching alternatives, analyzing the costs and benefits, implementing the best alternative and evaluating the end results.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
A&P license Required
Minimum 10 years transport category aircraft or related experience required in Avionics.
Previous Lead/Supervisory experience preferred
