What You Will Do:
Work under general supervision to service/repair / modify avionics equipment.
Performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, & repairing avionics equipment.
Conducts technical analysis of products, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer requirements and approved documentation.
Soldering fine pitch and SMD components.
Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
Utilizes a good understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems down to component level.
Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
Not responsible for sales activities.
The candidate is a team member who can support internal customers.
The candidate will partner with stakeholders and other team members to support and direct others on policy.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and work with multiple levels and cross-functional groups.
What YOU Will Learn:
The candidate will gain a better understanding of US Government regulations, including FAA 14 CFR Part 145
The candidate will be paired with a mentor to better understand the role and gain the knowledge and confidence to be successful.
The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved with projects in different areas of the business.
To be eligible for any SkillBridge Fellowship, you must meet the following requirements:
Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience OR in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience.

Electronics maintenance experience or education required.
Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronic equipment.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Electronics Trade School or Military training equivalent for repairing electronics preferred.
Prior experience troubleshooting to component level.
Prior soldering experience in a related environment.
SAP knowledge is a plus.
FAA Part 145 knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of RF electronics is a plus.
NOTE: SkillBridge Fellows are not eligible for these benefits but are available upon conversion to full-time.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
This position is considered safety-sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
