Job Description:
Job Title: Electrical Fabrication Technician

Job Summary:

Under the direction of Production Management, the Electrical Fabrication Technician manufactures electrical harnesses and assemblies, installs wiring used in the assembly and integration of aircraft parts and assemblies, and performs related tasks in accordance with Design Engineering instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies according to applicable regulations and instructions
Install wiring into interior monuments for aircraft installation
Operate laser wire markers and printers to mark electrical wiring and assemblies
Use precision tools and test equipment to measure and perform operational testing
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, test plans, and work instructions
Maintain equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions
Work effectively with coworkers, engineering, and management to solve problems and implement best practices
Maintain continuity among work shifts and document actions and irregularities
Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and continuous self-improvement

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or apprenticeship an asset
Understanding of wiring and electrical theory
Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams and work instructions
Experience in aircraft avionics, avionics fabrication, or electrical fabrication preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work effectively as a team member
Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
High level of manual dexterity and detail orientation
Good oral and written communication skills

Work Environment:

Regular exposure to vibration
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock
Very loud noise level

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand
Frequently required to use hands, climb, or balance
Occasionally required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
