Job Description:
An Avionics Technician plays a crucial role in the aviation industry by ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of aircraft electronic systems. This position demands a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to guarantee the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect, repair, test, and troubleshoot avionics and electrical systems.
- Must have the ability to read and understand technical data such as wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
- Build and repair wiring harnesses using common practices including soldering and crimping.
- Perform 24-month certifications as required by part 91.411 and 91.413.
- Perform avionics modifications and installations.
- Repair aircraft flight simulators.
- Assure that work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Complete the required paperwork for work performed.
- Must have a basic tool set.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
- Other duties as described in the Repair Station Manual.
- Must be able to be flexible and work all shifts on an as-needed basis.
Job Requirements:
- Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
- FCC a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of five consecutive years of recent avionics experience is required.
- Experience in a certified 145 repair station is preferred.
