Job Title: Avionics TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician with an A&P License to perform line maintenance, routine inspections, and troubleshooting on various aircrafts. The ideal candidate will have experience with avionics systems and wiring, ensuring all tasks are completed according to approved technical data and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers aircraft.
- Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases, returning aircraft to service within the scope of approval.
- Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.
- Troubleshoot systems, disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment.
- Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FARs and air carrier/manufacturer manuals, and properly document all work performed.
- Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
- Troubleshoot aircraft avionics components and electrical systems, including navigation/communication systems, weather radar, autopilot, and compass systems.
- Use all mandated safety equipment and comply with safety requirements per company and government regulations.
- Complete all checklists, forms, and reports as required by company, government, and FAA regulations.
- Participate in on-the-job training with onsite personnel.
- Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers or voltmeters.
- Keep and maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
- Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems following documentation such as blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Essential Skills- A&P License
- Experience with line maintenance and routine maintenance of various aircraft
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair avionics systems and components
- Knowledge of FARs and air carrier/manufacturer manuals
- Valid Driver’s License
- Authorization to work in the US
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Boeing 737/767 or similar aircraft
- Experience with wiring and avionics systems
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl
- Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
- Ability to operate equipment and read technical information
- Exposure to weather conditions and non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to read and write English

Work Environment
You will be working in both line and hangar maintenance environments, with shifts from 3:00pm to 3:00am on a rotating schedule of four days on/three days off, then three days on/four days off, working at least 42 hours a week. The role involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, loud noises, and various weather conditions.
